Recently CCCU Staff & Management - (L-R) Di Kennedy, Heather Laidlaw, Stacey Marsh (CRHF) Francois Egan, & Shauna Helson, paid a visit to the speech pathologist Cathy Silversides & her innovative piece of equipment! 

Cathy has been with CRH since 2009, & is thrilled to have this new equipment to help her patients begin the road to recovery, and to help diagnose and facilitate treatment for chronic conditions such as Parkinson's, MS, Stroke victims, as well as anyone who suffers from throat and swallowing ailments.  

Before this equipment purchase, Cathy had to accompany patients to the imaging department to swallow barium, to diagnose larynx and swallowing function. That was good, but this is much much better & provides a real time, quality view, of the inner working of the throat & how it is working, or not working.  

CCCU staff & management raised $600.00 over one month of 'Casual Fridays' & came down to the rehabilitation unit to get a firsthand look at where their dollars went, how important the equipment is.
